Stainless steel wire is a wire product drawn out to a diameter from 0.6 mm to an ultra-fine diameter of 0.011 mm, about one-sixth the diameter of head hair. High precision, ultra-fine wire with a diameter of 0.02 mm or less is used in such as a mesh for screen printing in the areas of solar battery electrode printing and electronic part fine pattern printing, while fine wire is used in various applications including the reinforced blades used in automobile exhaust pipes, and industrial filters and packing.
Furukawa Electric is contributing to improvements in productivity in screen printing and various wire mesh products with technology that refines the mechanical characteristics of stainless steel wire optimally centered on excellent wire drawing technology.
